Custom board game mat FAQ
What size board game mat do I need?
Measure the space you play on. The 20" square suits small tables and solo games, the 24" and 28" squares fit most family games, and the 32" square or the 36" x 24" rectangle give bigger groups and wide layouts more room. The size guide shows each one on a card table.
What artwork works best?
A high-resolution image: at least 150 DPI at full mat size, ideally 300 DPI. Big square mats need big files, so start from the original. Extend your art 1/4" past the edge for bleed and keep important details 3/4" inside it. Playmat Studio shows both guides.
Can I add a grid, a track or player names?
Yes. Your design can include zones, a grid, a score track or player names, as long as you own the artwork or have permission to print it. Keep those details inside the safe area.
Do you make Mahjong mats?
Yes. Our Mahjong mats come in 24", 28", 31.5" and 33" squares, with the same printing and non-slip base.
How long does shipping take?
Board game mats are printed to order. After 1 to 3 business days of processing they ship with tracking from New Jersey, USA, and shipping is free on orders of $75 or more.
Can I order mats for a game group or store?
Yes. There is no minimum order, and 5 or more mats get volume pricing: 10% off at 5, rising to 40% off at 50 or more. Request a quote on our volume orders page.
